Sports for Christ Ministries is a faith-based organisation. The following statements reflect the theological convictions that undergird our work, guide our staff, and shape every program we deliver. We do not require agreement with these beliefs from the schools we serve, but we are transparent about the foundation from which we operate.
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, the final standard for faith, conduct, and truth in all areas of life and work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in nature, distinct in person, and unified in purpose. Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human effort or merit, but freely given to all who place their trust in Him as Lord and Savior. Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, and empowers the follower of Christ to live a life that honours God. John 16:8; Romans 8:9; Acts 1:8
The Church
We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Him. We are committed to operating in partnership with local churches and faith communities as co-labourers in the Gospel. Ephesians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:27
The Dignity of Every Person
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity and worth. This conviction drives our commitment to serving every student, regardless of background, ability, or belief, with excellence and genuine care. Genesis 1:27; Galatians 3:28
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ. This hope shapes the urgency of our mission as we work with purpose that goes beyond athletic development. John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
A note to our school partners: SCM does not require students, parents, or school administrators to share these beliefs. We are transparent about our faith foundation because we believe integrity demands it. Our programs are delivered with professionalism and respect for every student, and our Christian convictions translate practically into how we treat people, with dignity, consistency, and genuine investment in their development.
